There are two different types of Brigg umbrella construction: a "solid", where the handle and shaft is one continuous piece of wood, or a "two piece", where the shaft is made of Tulip wood and the handle of a cane.

This 26" model from Swaine Adeney Brigg is of a single piece construction, with an Ash wood handle and shaft. Featuring a plated gold collar with engraved Royal Warrant, black nylon or hand woven English silk canopy, and a 26" frame of high tensile strength. All handmade components with mother-of-pearl button closure.

Brigg gentlemen's umbrella are available in three frame sizes: 25", 26" and 27". The standard size 26 is perfect for a gentlemen of 5'8" to 6'2" in height. There are a number of alternative nylon and silk canopy colours available.
