STELLA MCCARTNEY
FASHION

Effortlessly chic, girly and eco-friendly - this is the new lingerie
collection from acclaimed British fashion designer Stella McCartney.
The Stella McCartney
collection includes every day styles, bras, briefs, bodysuits and
chemises, naturally sexy and functional with a strong emphasis on fit.
The collection features quintessentially British broderie pieces with
the idea that it can be passed from generation to generation. A Stella
McCartney rivet is discreetly placed throughout.
In Stella's words: "I have always wanted to do lingerie. I've been
inspired by lingerie since a very early age, I was obsessed with
beautiful French slips, lace inlays and handwork. When I think about
lingerie I tend to think of really handmade precious pieces so I've
always wanted to do it and I guess the intimacy that a woman has with
her lingerie is quite inspiring, it means quite a lot, it's a very
personal purchase that to me is quite intriguing."

DESIGNER BRITAIN REVIEW
Stella McCartney is an innovative and
quirky modern British designer, who's first foray into lingerie in 2007
proved a huge success, with groups of intimates named after women in
cheeky situations. A particular favourite is the 'Knickers of the Week'
pack - a week's supply of briefs, each embroidered with a different day
of the week and floral detail. Stella McCartney has been a household
fashion name for quite a while now, and entered a new design genre in
2007 with her first lingerie collection. Stella's success so far is
down to those trademark tongue in cheek designs and emphasis on the
finest possible design standards.
